Xiaomi officially introduced the Poco C85 worldwide as the direct successor to last year’s Xiaomi Poco C75. Like its predecessor, the new model for now supports only 4G connectivity, although a 5G variant is expected to arrive later, similar to how the Poco C75 5G arrived.

Despite being an entry-level device, the Poco C85 boasts several notable upgrades in design and performance, while the price tag is upheld at entry level.

Xiaomi Poco C85 has a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD screen with a 120Hz refurbishment rate, and it runs on the MediaAk Helio G81-ULTRA chips, accompanied by LPDDR4x RAM and EMMC 5.1 storage, expandable to 1 TB via microsd.

Adapting the device is a massive 6,000 mah battery with 33W fast loading support. The camera system contains a 50 MP rear sensor with a help plant, next to an 8MP for selfies for selfies. Other highlights include Android 15 with Hyperos 2, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 3.5 mm headphone connection, USB-C, NFC, FM radio and the durability of the IP64 rated. Connections are handled by Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.4.

The Poco C85, which measures 171.56 × 79.47 × 7.99 mm and weighs 205 grams, holds a smooth building despite its large battery. Poco offers the phone in three color options: purple, black and green.

Prices are aggressive, from $ 109, which is about N168,000 in Nigeria (~ Rs 9.600) for the 6 GB+128 GB variant and $ 129 -n198.500 in Nigeria -(~ Rs 11.350) for the 8 GB+256 GB model below the early bird offering.

With the combination of high update rate, a large battery and modern software, the Poco C85 seems to appeal to the budget -conscious buyers, competing against the similar Honor X7D and Galaxy M07.
